What to Expect

  • Explain what treatment is required and whether referral to other healthcare services is appropriate.
  • Carry out appropriate treatment to reduce pain and/or increase movement.
  • Provide you with a treatment plan.
  •  Provide you with a tailored home exercise programme to begin your rehabilitation.
Is your Physiotherapist Chartered?
The title "Physiotherapist" alone is not evidence of a formal qualification in Physiotherapy. A Chartered Physiotherapist is a specialised member of the health care team. We are recognised by the medical professions and the Department of Health (ISCP website).
A "Chartered Physiotherapist" has completed a 4 year BSc Degree in physiotherapy and is subject to Continuous Professional Development. They are also members of the Irish Society of Chartered Physiotherapists.
